Replace oil pump

My 91 Explorer with 4.0L has been experiencing low oil pressure at idle after it's warmed up. I just had the oil and filter changed, but didn't help. I'm thinking it's the oil pump and would like to replace it. Do you have to pull the engine to pull the oil pan, or will the pan come off without pulling the engine. I'll be under my rig later this week but was hoping someone had an experience doing this. Thanks!

Replace oil pump

I don't know if anyone has ever succeeded in getting the oil pan off with the engine in the vehicle. The standard procedure for that is to remove the engine from the vehicle first.
