Not sure I follow the math or maybe you are being WAY over charged.

Bilstein kit comes with the front springs AND front shocks. The kit price should inculde springs (2) and the front 5100 series shocks (2).
Rear shocks are purchased seperately.

The reason I went Bilstein kit is because I had already planned on going with the 5100 series shocks due to all the positive reviews on FTE... instead of buying front shocks, rear shocks, and a seperate leveling kit, just bought the front bilstein kit and the rear shocks.
