I've decided that when I get the cash together I'm getting a 92-97 F-350 Powerstroke.I want at least 37" tires on it.
I used to have an F-150 5.0 with 33s,it had no *** to it and you had to hammer it to get it going, will the 7.3 be the same way?
I've never driven a diesel before by the way.
Edit:The F-150 was an 89 with an automatic transmission,I plan on getting an automatic Powerstroke just so I have room to build a nice center console.

Reason: To add details.
Get one with 4.10's in it if you want to go to 37" tires. It won't be as gutless as a 5.0 with bigger tires. The PSD has a lot more grunt and a TON more low end torque to get you off the line. Technically speaking though, you should re-gear the axles if you want to run big meats like that and still have close to stock performance.
While I agree with your choice of truck, don't be tempted to settle for an F-250 if you intend to lift it and run big tires. You want a solid axle and not a TTB for that.
