Operation XLT
Haha well thanks, I'd be happy to help if it was something you ever did need to re-do. It's honestly quite a bit of fun to do stuff like this, especially when its pretty cheap and makes such a big impact. This is a lot cheaper then my exhaust was that's for sure!
I think I just found a pair of tan leather seats too... I'm a little excited but I don't know the price yet. I looked at a salvage yard online that lists they have them but I won't know if they do or the price until I get off work tomorrow. I'll give them a call and see if I can go pick them up tomorrow or Saturday if they aren't charging too much. Wow if I got these then my interior will be so much closer to "complete" for how I have wanted it. I'll want a tan leather back seat to match the front if I get the back ones though but that can wait.

Them pics look great Bubba, nice job. The headline looks like it was factory made so great job there. As for my interior and what i have modified, i haven't done anything that would impress anyone besides stereo work. I have some floor mats that say Ford Bronco on them that look as if they could be stock. Then I swiped a rear mat for the back seat and a large mat for the back of my truck to keep the dirt and oil off my prettyfull carpet
. The carpet is another egg to crack, it is some crappy all weather stuff that was like superglued on or something. When i ran my wires for speakers and i pulled the carpet up it was falling apart in my hands so that will have to be addressed eventually. At some point i want to pull the interior out from seats all the way back and sand/paint my floor. Possibly bed liner it then add factory carpet over that for added comfort when doing floor work. For cup holders i have a cheapo plastic carrier from Walmart that i modified for my other truck. It sits on my bench and flops around.
Other than that i haven't done much else. Keep up the good work.

Alright, It'd be easier to find bigfoot then get a pair of tan bucket seats and center console, or even just a pair of bucket seats I can pay to get reupholstered for that matter!! However..... I did find an excellent set of ALL new seats and center console!! It's just a little too much money now (just because of shipping being $250....) and across the country, but once I get another pay check, I'm going to buy them. I'm super excited. I hope they don't get sold before I get enough money though, I'd probably start crying.
Just thought I'd give an update. Oh, I also just purchased some new side molding from a place called Beaver Stripes in Phoenix. The molding was a very close match to the factory molding and looks almost identical to what I have now (mine isn't quite factory but very close.) Well it looks almost identical to what I have now if it was brand new. My current molding is faded and the chrome has completely flaked off so I wanted to redo that to have it look a lot nicer.
I'll tell you, small things can make a huge difference. Replacing my headlights made my whole truck look brand new and so many people started commenting on how great it looked. I'm hoping the new molding will have the same effect again! Another tip is, when washing your truck, cleaning the door jams when the door is open makes a huge difference to the cleanliness feel of the truck. I don't know why exactly, but it works, trust me! But man... I am super excited about those seats and console!!!! I"m getting anxious though I don't want them to get sold! I'm not telling where I found them because then everyone here will rush to buy them before me!

Well they weren't that cheap. The one I went with was $124 after tax and shipping (they are going to ship it to my house because they had to order it). There was another molding option that was very similar, but the chrome strip was a couple centimeters thinner that was about $20 cheaper.
I believe the molding I got is the exact same as the one on this link MDG124, it's almost the last one on the list:
Body Side Molding, Truck Molding, Car Molding, Vinyl Trim
It actually may be a littler cheaper on that website since I see it's one sale there...
So it's not cheap, but nothing terrible either. And compared to what you'd pay at the dealer IF they had the molding in stock, well it's an amazing deal then.
Edit: Oh, and it's in a role, so you do have to cut it. It should be pretty easy to do though and I don't think there is really any pre-cut option that is going to be around $100. In fact, I haven't really been able to find any molding that looked close to what I have until recently.

Yeah i definitively would get some. The molding makes a big difference in my opinion. I see XL Broncos without the molding and to me, it looks like they are severely lacking something (still look amazing though because they are a Bronco). My Bronco came with this molding but it was starting to fade when I bought it 6 years ago, so now its completely faded. I'm just trying to do small touch ups to make my truck look as new as I can.
I just used some foam pad drill attachment with rubbing compound on my tail lights and that made a huge difference. Its kinda hard to tell how oxidized the rear lights are until you see the difference after they are cleaned. I just wish I could get a new top brake light. I don't think they sell those anywhere (except for LED versions which wouldn't look good) and mine is cracked. Oh well, that's probably the last thing I'm going to get, I'm still waiting for those seats and center console.. just imagine, having a cup holder and being able to have peace of mind while shifting and turning. No more will tea be spilled all over the place!

Truck looks great man! I hear you about finding seats. I have tan leather EB seats in the Zebra and the drivers is torn up, can't find a replacement anywhere.
I like the stance of your truck. You say thats the Rancho lift? I might have to look into that for mine.

Sounds great Bubba, keep up the good work. I too like to keep the trim on mine but there is some (for the top) that i didn't get with my truck and probably won't. I used to wash cars for a living so cleaning door jams and truck jams and that stuff really makes the truck look nice. Though i didn't do that when i washed TGM last time because washing something this big with a hand mitt is tiring. Vacuuming also does a lot to clean things up.
Hopefully you can snag those seats before their gone. Sounds like a pretty bangin deal.

I saw a set of all tan leather seats on Jeffs Bronco graveyard on google images.. but it was an old add. I would have got them and had the front two reupholstered, but oh well. However, these cloth Eddie Bauer seats are probably better suited because leather is probably not the best choice for Arizona, and they are selling them with the center console too. I just hope no one else sees them before I get paid!
And yeah I just washed my truck today in order to make it rain... I knew it would rain soon, but had to get all the dust off. Maybe I'll wash her again tomorrow
.
I've seen the Rancho kit for sale, unfortunately Rancho doesnt make it anymore but summit still has it.
I too have RS5000 shock all the way around, and the dual stabilizer, that looks sweet mounted on our trucks.

I am not sure what TGM has under it, some lit shocks from Rancho though. The rears look like they might be 4 inch lift ones cause their about half way compressed when sitting normal. Though i haven't been able to bottom them out yet so i'm not sure. Maybe you guys could tell
The best pic i have

all 4 shocks are rancho, then i have a Monroe steering stabilizer that i added a custom touch to

Haha, i had a bunch of stickers laying around, i figured i might as well put them on something.

A good shock should be about half compressed at ride height, that gives it room to both expand and collapse.
My 78 had a weird comboation, it had 4 stabilizers.... looked sweet tho, lol. I'll try and a pic.
