Wow! Those rattle vids sounded terrible! I can hear what sounds like advanced timing on a gasser in there. I agree... if any tuner makes your truck sound like that, notify the programmer and have him/her change it fast.
I heard your uber-whistle and I'm jealous. Oh well... T38R is about as jacked up as I would ever go. I'll get some vids today of my truck running - it sounds more like what you labeled as "Normal" in the vids above.

This thread has switched my mode of thinking OFF the dp bandwagon. I dont like the idea of proprietary file formats that only dp can tune for.
With that in mind... what other tuners/chips are available that i can talk to with my laptop ?
Being that matt is closest to me ill probably go with gearhead tuning...
But now i dunno what kinda chip or tuner or programmer ... feeling lost

With that in mind... what other tuners/chips are available that i can talk to with my laptop ?

You can get a TS style chip burner for around $250 new, and many tuners will email you the tunes, then just burn them on the chip.

You can create your own tunes for a moates chip with their software but reading their site they do not have any base tunes to start from for the 7.3.

My DP tuner (sold) was from summer 2009. When I spoke with them a few months ago they suggested I send it in to get the tunes updated.
