I've dealt with "street rod" hinges, and most are made for tiny, lighweight hoods. They aren't exactly precision, either. Plus, when you buy something "universal", that means it doesn't fit anything.

How the heck do you wear out a hood hinge?

hmm...maybe I should try to make a set of polished stainless hinges out of 3/8" material with oil impregnated bushings or something?

My side steps and twin sticks didn't turn out too shabby.

Wow! Nice work on those parts. I hate to see those steps hanging out there, they are too nice for offroading.
