Have any of you guys used kerosene for solvent? It is a lot cheaper than paint thinner but I wonder about its cleaning ability, aroma and harshness. I have used paint thinner for years but it is costing twice as much as kerosene.

I think that kerosene is good for kerosene lamps

Seriously, I think that it's a lot more flammable. I also know that it's generally considered pretty hazardous. You probably need a special container for it these days.
I wouldn't use it, but I'm far from an expert.

kero will leave an oil film on whatever it touches unlike paint thinner that evaporates clean.
i use acetone. it is a lot cheaper than paint thinner, and basically the same thing
