Hey all. I have read some threads that said easy off oven cleaner gets rid of paint pretty well. those of you who use it, how long do you let it set on the paint before scraping it off. Thanks let me know.

Yeek. Oven cleaner (also known as sodium hydroxide, lye, & drain cleaner) will eat a lot of things. That includes skin and eyes. One of the reasons it feels slippery on your fingers is because it is changing the oil and grease in your flesh to soap (Yupe, that's right. Soap).
I suspect you leave it on until you start seeing the paint curl. Just a guess, since I won't use the stuff.

Oven cleaner will not work on new urethane paints, it will only discolor it and make it look like crap. Also your hoses and wire looms and other plastic parts will hate you for it. If you need a good paint stripper, do a good job of protecting all other pieces and use an aircraft coating remover. Depending on your state laws you might not even be able to buy the stuff but that's what you want.

Well its just fot the inside of my doors on my 68. So I think it will work.
There are like 6 coats and sanding is just not an option. Neither is sandblasting. I guess I will try the oven cleaner.
