I have had an egr bypass done on a 2004 F350 6.0 diesel. Since then, the oil stays very clear. Any ideas why the oil is staying so clear? Even after 3,000 miles, the oil is still clear.
Well with a EGR deleate you are putting Less Soot back into the Cylinders
Soot will work its way by the rings and then into the Oil
most change oil every 5K
Some go 7.5K but no More
The oil shears in the 6.0L so viscosity goes thinner
At 5K some of the Oil reports come back at a 30w well Ford will run 10-30w so if thats good for them I run my oil till 7.5K
