Messed up wiring...

My parking lights come on with the engines run position on the key, also if you come outside and turn on the parking lights with no key in the radio will come on...
I need a wiring diagram for the radio wires the factory power wiring, and the ignition key color codes too....

I really wish I could get a answer without buying something, I just need the color codes for the wires, I am pretty sure that prolbem is in the radio wiring
(somebody's aftermarket install)

Is it just the radio or all of the accessories (wipers, heater blower)? It sounds like the parking light wire has been shorted to the accessory circuit. If it is just the radio, you've got problems

Just thought of something. If the blue wire with the red stripe from the truck is connected to the radio, disconect it. It is for the dash lights and sometimes installers mistakenly connect it to the amp switch wire (blue on most radios). This could caused a power feed back into the light circuit as you describe.

I have to say a Service manual is a mechanics best friend.

I can't put a diagram up because of copyright infringement.

I would suggest to look through some previous threads for diagrams, just maybe there is what you're looking for is already here somewhere.

The search function works well.

Btw, Welcome to FTE!

Sounds to me like you'll need to re-install the radio. Use a test light to determine which wires need to be connected. The radio wiring will be dependant on the manufacturer. There might be a wiring diagram on the outside of the radio case to go by.

OEM Radios back then had two plugs.
On plug had two wires carrying power.
One wire to power the radio & the other (blue/red) to run the light for the radio.

The second plug with two wires in was for the speaker.

ok, i found the prolbem the green plug withe the two wires, well one of them was connected to the radio, (the one hot with the key) the one that has the parking light circut was cut off, but i had a 12 gauge wire (parking lights) connected to the radio wire, my question now is what was that all green wire connected to?
P.S.-I have the radio memory wired to the cigar lighter...

I explained in the post above yours.
Look for the powered wires reference .

That is called a courtesy light bulb in the radio and the wire going to it should be Blue with a red stripe.
The other one goes into the main harness & it powers the radio when the key is turned on. (as said in the post above)

It works with the courtesy lights Not the parking lights.
