Leaky Trans

Hi everyone,,my 2011 Super-Duty, 6.8/V-10 with a 5 speed was running fine for about 2500 miles and now it is leaking trans fluid out of the vent cap on top of the trans. There is no indication that the trans is overheating, guage in normal range and trans cooler is warm to the touch and Ford says there is nothing wrong with it. I'm running it about 1/2 quart low for now and that seems to have stopped the spewing. any ideas?

My 2010 did the same thing brand new...Ford thought it was pourous tranny case and replaced case. Drained some fluid, and leak stopped...after Ford replaced case at 500 miles...dopes!

If the leaking stopped after losing a half quart then it sounds like you were overfilled from the factory. How is it looking on the dipstick?
