Look on the Warranty Plate for the COLOR code, post what it is.

One code, one color / Two codes, truck was tu-toned.

1965/66: C = Pure White (quite rare) / M = Wimbledon White (very common).

There are several different codes, colors for light blue.

FM: F = Light Blue / M = Wimbledon White

I memorized all this jazz decades ago, have the 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog & The Standard Catalog of Light Duty Ford Trucks (krause.com -ISBN: 0-87349-411-3) just in case I need either.

Plus, I bought a 1965 F100 8' Styleside brand new 3/1965, owned the pile until 11/2009. This was the first of 8 Ford trucks I bought new. #8 is the oversized tub in my sig pic.

I'm a nut, automotive historian and a crabby 'ol grouch. It won't take you too long to figure this out!

Outstanding on both counts!
o.k. , I found a good paint and body guy in New Mexico, that's pretty close to me in Az. lots of work ahead, but I'm up for it!

I have ordered an authorized official Ford service manual last week, looking forward to sticking my head in it! paid $68 not bad, compared to most found online. Knowledge is Power!

Have a great weekend and thanks again!

The 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog is available on a CD from hipoparts.com for 22 bucks.

Where do you live in SE Arid-Zon-A? I have family in Douglas and Sierra Vista near Fort Hootchi-Cootchi.

I also have 5 Basset Hounds, feed 'em raw meat. If you become aware I'm in the area, better lock you chickens up, cuz that's the raw meat they eat.

That's not too far from Shakespeare, the privately owned NM ghost town and Lordsburg, the town made famous in John Ford's film Stagecoach.

'Course, Stagecoach wasn't filmed anywhere near Lordsburg. T'was filmed in Monument Valley and Moab UT, Beale's Cut...north of LA LA Land and RKO Studios in Hollyweird.

Film made "The Duke" (John Wayne, born: Marion Michael Morrison) a star after years of toiling in B-Western oaters, and was the first film shot in Monument Valley.

Yep Shakespear is just about 10 miles south of Lordsburg on a dirt road and only opens once a month, I think every 3rd Saturday, something like that. Never been to Monument Valley but its on my bucket list!
When i saw "StageCoach " I knew they werent even close to Lordsburg, thats funny!
