I have a 2002 7.3l F250 and have got a P1211 fault code while I was towing my camper up the mountains it kicked the light when it would down shift and spike the RPMs. The truck runs just fine has all the power and all the gauges look good. I believe the owner before me had a tuner on the truck but not positive. Should I just replace the IPC and IPR or just leave it be and wait till I get my tuner for the truck and see if it goes away for good. Is there anything aftermarket to prevent this issue with the IPCs.
My truck has been doing exactly the same thing. I did find my ICP sensor was bad and I have replaced that. Won't be pulling the camper again for a month or so, so I won't know if this fixed the problem until then. Mine never throws the P1211 code or CEL unless I'm pulling the camper in mountains or a strong head wind.
Mine does not give me the code during normal driving. I am glad to see that there is someone else that we can work through this and get more information back and forth. I will let you know what I figure out.
When I tow my camper and have my Edge Evolution turned on to tow setting, I get a light and a code. I don't remember the code number, but it will come on @ 3000 rpm.
I try to never allow it to shift in cruise control or it will go there.
I can control the shift and rpm better by turning the cruise off.
The OP may not have removed the tuner. I can install or remove the Edge and never know which way it is until I reconnect it.
I have a new ICP n IPR N high pressure oil pump n injector I had the Service Engine light come on the other day and found a p1211 error with no pending codes. I have did evey thing help me or just call6192478959
