Internal Control Keep Alive memory error. This is the code I got after removing and reinstalling my dash. Everything mechanical/driveline engine ect. works normally. Odometer and factory gauges remain off for about 30-45 secs after turning key to on position even though glows plugs ect come on instantly. And my airbag light blinks 4 times then 6 times then constant. Any suggestion of things to check would be appreciated. Otherwise its off to the dealer sometime next week.
if you have a chip in it, it can cause this code. it is nothing to worry about in my opinion. go drive it a couple of 5 mile trips and see if the code goes away. if it were me i would not worry about it
Internal Control Keep Alive memory error is when the PMC looses power, did you unhook the batterys?m or program the truck with a tuner
Yes I unhooked both batteries before I pulled the dash out.
Completely removed dash all the way to the firewall. Including the power lead that runs all the way to the driverside battery.
Also have the banks sixgun pda, but had zero issues when the tuner was installed it wasn't until I removed the dash that this started.
Its very similar to a computer reboot when installing a chip type tuner but this should only occur on installation once not every time I start a run cycle.
If I thought it was just a chip cycle error I would ignore it but the persistance and sequence of events prior to leads me to know I screwed something up just not sure which of 25 places to start looking at the moment.
there is a good possibility something could have happened with all the wires in these things. but seriously, if the truck runs fine, and you have a chip, then you do not have a problem. sometimes these chips cut power to the memory in the processor and it is part of the strategy. i have personally seen this several times. now if your truck is not running right, then worry. otherwise you are ok
Just a suggestion, but why not remove the Banks and reload the OEM stock PCM program. Run it 5 or my tune cycles (so that it re-learns your driving style). Once you are sure all is well there, then re-install the Banks.
Just my .02 here...

If my memory serves me correct, I noticed this code when I purchased my used 2000 F250 SD with the Hyper Tech programmer. I figured I would see how it worked and when the program came back with the DTC, I freaked and called the Hyper Tech folks, and they stated it was just an erroneous code. I can feel your pain though and hope everything works out ok.
