96 F250 door alignment

The drivers door drops when opened, so I have to slam it to close it. What is the easiest way to adjust this?

Thanks

You're going to have to replace the hinge bushings. You can get a HELP kit for like 5 bucks. This guy is doing a lot more, but there's some good entertainment in there too

That means one or both door hinges are worn or broken so the first thing you need to do is replace them, they frequently wear or break the pins and in some cases bushings can be replaced but not always.

Have a husky friend there to help, and do one hinge at a time. Doors are heavy and awkward to position by yourself.

If will take a while, but you can do it without taking the fender off.

I cut the pin in half with a hack saw blade and used a floor jack to hold up the door, hit out the old bushings, put the new ones in and your done. Only have to unbolt the door side of the hinge

On ,y 73 Nova I used an engine hoist to hold the door in place when I replaced the hinges and pins
