MPG with edge programmer
hey guys, lookin to upgrade from my 1996 F350 to something else. I was originally going to buy a cummins since all the newer powerstrokes cant really live up to the 7.3 but i just found an 03 F350 king ranch dually with an edge programmer with an awesome price tag and only 98k miles(not a typo!!). right now i get just over 15 with my 96 but what are you guys getting with 03s? how much of a boost will the edge programmer add?

Superduties are waaay heavier than the OBS, and the duallies usually have 4:10 rear ends. I wouldn't expect much more MPG than what you have now (if any). The Edge is an OK bump for Johnny Generic, since it has the gauge functions. Don't expect fuel economy increases from mods, but repairs give economy gains. I have seen late 2003 trucks with 6.0L engines for real cheap - make certain you know what the engine is.
