I think that if you put your truck in engineering test mode one of the screens will display active DTCs. Not sure though, and I currently lack a truck to corroborate this with.

I just got my first CEL.
I tried the engineering test mode but it shows CONTINUOUS DTCS not codes that come in intermittently.
So I took my 2012 350 to the dealership and they found something to do with the MAP Sensor. The tech reset and told me to come back for a more detailed trouble shoot if it comes back in. Which it did 15 minutes later! So I have an appointment 1st thing Monday morning...
What I'm getting at is take your truck to the dealer, @$$ pain? yes but they have to fix it if it's under warranty...good luck
Gotta love it. Light went out 5 minutes later so I figured everthing is ok. Left the house at 3am for 7 hour dri e to start family vacation. Driving dow the highway chime went off monitor said pull over safley 30 seconds later truck went totally dead....waiting for tow truck...wife had friend pick her and kids up to go home and get our 6 year old chevy to make the trip!
