On our two piece drive shafts, is the rear part that goes from the pinion yolk to where the drive shaft splits (What is this called) the same for CC/LB's as it is for EC/LB or SC/LB's?
Had a little issue today...will post some pics tomorrow, but for now let it suffice to say, axle wrap and wheel hop is a *****.
The carrier bearing or center support bearing is what you are looking for. If I had to guess I would say that they are different. It would need to account for differing angles. For example a 350 has taller blocks than a 250, thus it needs a shorter cb bracket as there is more angle. .
I think they're all different Rob. I have a chart on my other computer that lists the lengths of the different drive shaft sections for each cab configuration. I will have to get it for you tomorrow if you still need it. I am pretty confident that the length of the rear section of the shaft is specific to the cab and bed configuration of your specific truck.
Hmm ok thanks guys. Is the nut on the slip yolk reverse thread or standard? Im guessing its the opposite of the way it spins but just want to check before I spend 10 minutes tightening it lol!
