drive shaft help needed

Hey Guys,
I got my 240 all put back together, now I'm installing. I replaced the 3 speed light duty tranny with a T19. It all bolted together beautifully. Need to replace the drive shaft as the 3 speed had a slip yoke on the tail and the T19 doesn't. My shaft is roughly 2 inches too short.
Questions are: do I need a 2 piece shaft? Will that require a center carrier bearing? If I use a single shaft, what stops the stress on the ujoints when the rear end is bouncing over holes and or rocks? Are there any trucks out there I can just snag a drive line from?

My little puppy is a 66 f100 short wheel base, 2wd, flairside.
Thanks for the help...
Judi

yes you will need a 2 piece shaft you could have a custom one made that would not require the carrier bearing it would be much like a front shaft on a 4wd

Yep, it's short enough you don't need a carrier bearing. I would do as subs says and pick up a front driveshaft from a Bronco or F-150 and have it lengthened.
