Which drive shaft?

I've got a '94 extended cab, 2wd, with the driveshaft that has the center support bearing. I'm replacing the drive shaft and have two that I can use. One is the normal shaft with single u-joints. The other has a cardan joint by the center support bearing. Is there an advantage of one of these driveshafts over the other? The truck is not lifted. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

The Cardan can handle more drive shaft angle.
