Hey guy's I need some help wiring up a Push button toggle ignition system for a buddy of mine who's a bit down on his luck
First off it's a 99 F-250 7.3 powerstroke and the reason for this type of set up is because regardless of the new ignition cylinder it just spins around no clicks no resistance just spinning (not 360 degree's just spins forward and stops and then backwards and stops and does nothing) secondly the truck is in a bad spot and needs to move asap thirdly my friend is a young guy and he likes the toggle system so I figured it's a win/win
I already know how to wire this kinda of set up but my question is what wire(s) do I need to put on a switch to get the truck into "Run"? and what about accessory mode aswell? basically I want the toggles to do the job of the ignition cylinder, I already have a push button switch wired up to work the starter but that's no good if the truck isn't ready to start and run and I am putting in a Kill switch for security
I'm heading over tomorrow morning to wire it up so I need info quick
I've already looked over diagrams but there all kinda vague for what I'm looking for.
your help is greatly appreciated!
(for the record I searched up and down for a thread explaining what I need but I could not find the information I needed)
