Aaron, you lucked out.

You cold have been stuck in rush hour traffic.

My daily commute was Stratford to Stamford and back.

I left home at 12:30 to be at work by 2pm and sometimes the 45 minute drive crawled into 90 minutes.

Then there was night construction on the way home and at the time I was glad I didn't live in Milford else I'd have to pass through a second construction zone.

All this before the work on the Housatonic bridge began.

It pored down it Saybrook this afternoon also.
This weather is nuts.

 

As Dave said, you're lucky.
It's a parking lot from the state line up into Fairfield after 2:30 or so.
Fortunate to average 20 mph northbound in the afternoon.

You should have given me a call, I would have brought you coffee or something.

 

Just like you need to give me a call when you're up my way, Jim. I still owe you coffee or whatever you'll have for checking up on my truck when I blowed it up last fall.

 

Jim I don't know how you deal with that traffic every day.

I don't go anywhere after 7AM, or before 7PM.
It can still be a disaster.
And now that they're widening I-95 in Norwalk between X14 & X15 it's going to get worse, MUCH WORSE, before it gets better.

Sometimes I just want to put it in 4Lo and push all the idiots out of my way.

 

The trick is you have to already be nuts.

He lives! No rain in Guilford, got real dark over Madison though.

 

We were over on Horse Pond Rd around 2:00 and it sprinkled just a little. Not much but just a touch. Got pretty dark.
