emblem removal

emblem removal

humor me with my improper terminology here if you will.

at the bottom of the windshield there is a body piece with slits in that i assume allows air to be sucked in for the hearter and a/c. well on the far outside edges near the doors there are some emblems. i believe mine say f-250 ranger or something like that. is there a way to remove those with ease? keep in mind i will be putting them back on afterwards

They pry out because they are held in with pins on the back of the emblem.

Use a Piece of cloth & a putty knife.

cool beans. thanks for the info. also when im ready to put it back in i just pop it back on? is that it? too easy

Yes, they simply push back in. You can spray the pins with silicone lube or something similiar to make them go in easier. The hard part is not breaking the emblems or the pins.

When you go to reinstall the pins have little plastic booties. They fit over the pins and in the holes but as far as I can tell you cannot get them anywhere so try to save them. I made some others work but I am afraid I'll have heck trying to get them off next time.
