A/C issue
Whenever I go to turn my A/C on for the first time after I start my truck up I get this loud clunk and thats it. The A/C works like normal but why does it do that when it starts up. Its always on a cold start. I think the compressor kicks on and off normally after that. Like I said it normally dose that on a cold start, and just that one time when I first turn it on..after that everything seems fine.

That big loud clunk is probably the blend door in the heater box - I get it sometimes too... it's something people were going nuts about the first few years after the SD first came out... I think it sticks, enough vacuum comes up to force it and it thunks...
