Pulling OBD2 codes without the code port

I have a 2000 e150 with a 4.6L. It is showing a service engine light. My scanner can not connect through the code port. I suspect the wiring is damaged or disconnected. Is there another place to plug in the scanner to pull the codes?

Any idea which fuse that is? No owners manual and Haynes diagrams aren't worth a darn.

Found the fuse. Keeps blowing. Any way I can pull codes from somewhere else so I don't have to dig into the electrical issue?

No, there isn't. You'll have to resolve the short circuit problem.

Disconnected the lighter plug. Was able to pull the codes. You would expect a dealer's work to hold up for longer than a month. Had a blow out on number 1. Had it towed to the dealer who replaced the plug and COP and helicoiled the hole. The COP is bad already. Nothing but headaches.
