Found a 2002 with 45,000
Miles. Not leather but it's so
Low mile I have to consider it. How were the 2002's?
Spark Plug problem?
Trans?

As far I know, the V10s aren't known for spitting spark plugs like the 4.6 and 5.4 are.

2001 had issues with a Transmission diode but they were recalled and by now, most of them have probably already been repaired.
The V10 was the worst offender of spitting plugs.

02's are great! thats the year they changed the headlights, gauge clusters..other few small odds and ends. i love my '02!

Problem??
Don't get them too tight or too loose, there is a fine line between the two because of the tapered seats with no gasket.

personal experience tells me the 5.4 v8 was the worst. my '98 blew one and i caught the second right before it went. 2 other friends also have blown plugs on there 5.4's. now i've had 3 V10s and know of 4 others that own them and have for a period of time. no plug spitting w/the V10's. now i know they all do it..but i have heard and seen way more V8's blowing them.


the excursion NEVER got the 3 valve motors. or coil front springs on the 4x4's. like the super dutys did in '05.

The 04-05 X didn't get the 5R100? I thought in 03 ford switched all super dutys and X's over to the 5R100?
They are OK unless you don't get them the right tightness.
