I'm really up a creek. Just this week when temps hit 100 out here in Utah my 2006 F-350 6.0 won't restart after I shut it off. Checking the internet I found suggestions of a problem with the upper oil reservoir (which I still can't find) but after watching a Youtube video I'm thinking maybe "O" rings on the studs that feed the injectors under the valve covers.
I sure don't want to tear into this without some advise. Thanks for you help.
Thanks, I'm not sure about the cause but there sure are a lot of people that think it's the "O" rings on the standpipes. So I guess I better get under the valve covers and change them out.
I'm in Taylorsville. I found a Ford parts outlet that will sell me the 2 stand pipes and 2 dummy plugs for $102 so I ordered today. Found a good video on Youtube changing injectors. I will not be changing injectors at 80K miles but it does cover everything.
My truck is my love but I also pull a Lang smoker behind it so I travel in style. I have paid off shops with a BBQ feed for the staff.
