C4 Question
Greetings all,
I purchased a rebuilt C4 when I was in Texas a few years ago and installed it in my F-1. I have now installed a Lokar shifter on it. The C4 was installed with a quart of fluid in the torque converter and one in the C4. Should I be able to find all six shift positions (P, R, N, D, 2,1) in this configuration??? I can only find five with or without the Lokar shifter. The engine has not yet been started after its rebuild.

Thanks for your response, I was afraid that would be the answer.
One more question: which way does the shifter shaft rotate, when looking at it, to be in park..clockwise toward the back of the transmission or counterclockwise toward the front??

If you are using a column shift, park at the transmission is all the way forward.
Floor shift park is all the way back. But the linkage for a floor shift and column shift are different.
Column shift points down, floor points up.
