I also found a guy to order a custom grind-ed cam for me with lifters for $250 shipped. I think im going to go back to a 2-1 exhaust too with a magnaflow. That should give me a little more tourque too, i figure. I'll post the cam specs when he sends them too me. Im going custom cam and rebuilt gt40 heads. What valve springs should I run, edelbrocks? I can pick them up for $40. Are the new gt40 springs too strong for a non roller. Or are the gt40's non rollers to begin with. I only hear good things about those heads, i just dont dont know a ton about them.

I don't know which springs you are starting with. If its the stock replacements for an explorer or mountaineer then they should be replaced. Stock for cobra or lightning then you should be alright but you need to check for coil bind. I personally would go with whatever is recommended by the maker of the cam.

I think ill just have him send me a kit and just pay extra. Ikk get the cam, springs, breakin oil, and whatever else he suggest.

So my final build plan is
hei dizzy procomp
50,000 volt coil
summit longtubes into 2.25" h-pipe
edelbrock 2121 performer intake
edelbrock 600cfm carb
accel wires
rebuilt gt40 heads not the P
what rocker kit should I buy?
also what spring kit should I get?
what gearing should I get for the rear?
29"by8" tires for the front
31"by10.5" tires in the rear
c4 tranny
edelbrock tourque cam
Now with all that, what should I be exspecting as far as performance?
