302 buildup

I have a 81 302 engine that has 15,00km on it and i would like more horespower and torque I have purchased a edelbrock performer intake for it, headers and a holly projection fuel injection system. I am thinking of putting a comp cams 260H cam in it anyone have any better suggestions

You're right in the year range for Ford's worst production heads for these engines. I would really look into swapping on some different heads, perhaps the '69-'70 351W heads (C9OE-D0OE) or even some E7s if you want to stay with stock heads, or look into the cast iron and aluminum aftermarket heads if your budget allows. Changing to better heads is one of the single biggest changes you can make power-wise.

That 260H might be a good cam for your application, but I would call Edelbrock's tech line, as well as Comp Cams and Crane and tell them what you are doing exactly including tire size and gear ratio to get a recommendation.

thanks well i have 3.73 gears and a 4 speed standard right now i called comp cams and they suggested that camshaft and they said my intake should compliment it well. I have a 77 ford 351 w thats been rebuilt would those heads be any good?

No, they'd be about the same thing you have now. '77 is right when they went downhill. Big, low-compression combustion chambers (69cc) along with the standard 289-302 size valves (1.78/1.45), it's just not a great combination for power.
