2012 fx2 remote start question

I have purchased my first truck an its a 2012 fx2 crew cab and man do i enjoy it, ive had it since may 4th but last night i was showing it to a friend and i did the remote start cuz i added flowmaster to it and i wanted him to hear it! it cranked but when i went to kill it by hitting the start button again it did not turn off, then i unlocked it and went inside and inserted my key in and turned my ignition to run position and it died then i got this message on my screen "system start fault" It has done it to me today again after getting ready to come to work this afternoon, same message on screen. does anyone have an idea of what may be happening to this? i only have 1600 miles on it and i do not want for it to start messing up on me this soon.

Suggest you take to the dealer while you can replicate the problem and still have warranty. Mine works fine with the exception of a range issue from a second story bldg.

Did you put your foot on the brake??

I seem to remember you must put your foot on the brake before turning key to on.

You dont have to put your foot on the brake. but it will only let you remote start it 2 times before you have to put the key in. On the 3rd try to remote start it will just flash the lights and honk.
