Evening, I am looking for ideas to the problem.
I have a 2000 F350 CC 7.3 I have a Hornet alarm with remote start. I have had this unit for 3 years now and lately when I try to remote start it will turn over but does not fire up i would say 8 out of 10 times it won't start. I will start it with the key and it starts fine it just seem like it just does not turn over quite long enough but I think sometimes I have to crank it just a little longer to start with the key. i am just not sure where to check or what it might be. Anyone else had this kind of problem. not sure if it is the truck or the remote start. Thanks for looking AL
Mine does the same think if she sits for a few days. Which luckily is not often.
There should be a way to adjust the cranking time on the remote start system, that would be where to fix it for now.
The real question that needs to be answered though is WHY is it having to crank longer? Cranking times increasing COULD signal a minor issue that could turn in to a major issue.
