cooling system flaw

Just a heads up. If you have a sudden loss of coolant the temp gage will not go to hot! Causing along and noticed a loss of power. Temp looked normal. So I switched from gps to torque on my bionic. Ect was the normal 183. Eot was 290. Was about a mile to a rest area. Found that the spring clamp on the pass heater hose was not clamping and l leaked out 4 gal of coolant. If I had not checked or had s scanner good chance of melting the engine

That goes for ANY AUTO not just the 6.0L

with no coolant to go over the ECT sensor it has nothing to sense

I guess the Flaw for the 6.0L is no Coolant leval Sensor

This would be a GOOD MOD IMO

Same type of thing happens when the coolant gels up from leaking oil coolers. The gelling restricts the flow and prevents good heat transfer and the coolant temps can look pretty normal, while the oil temps are sky high.
