Steering column lock problem-need advice
Just noticed today that when turning off the truck I had a hard time getting the key to the position where I could remove key. The ignition switch function works fine while starting and turning the engine off but is hard to get to the position where the key comes out. You have to turn it hard and it snaps/pops to the position where the key comes out. I'm familiar with the binding caused by tension on the steering wheel causing a similar problem but this is different like something wrong with the locking rod operation.
