Pros / Cons Explorer GT40 Intake?

I just picked up a 1990 F150 w/a 5.0 AOD combo that I am going to put into my 66 F100 so emissions is not an issue. What would be the benefits and/or losses I would see if I changed my stock Truck 5.0 intake to the Explorer GT40 Intake and heads? I am just starting to learn these motors so bear with my ignorance. Thanks for the help guys.

Both of these intakes are close in terms of airflow potential with the truck version having a slight advantage and both of them are also a fair bit oversized for an all stock motor of this vintage, but the Explorer will give you several inches more hood clearance.

Thanks Conan. In a 66 F100, Hood clearance should not be an issue. Just trying to get the best balance of fuel economy and performance.
