Gt40 intake

Can you slap a gt40 intake off an explorer onto a 96 f150 5.0.. If you can will I notice a differnce

Yes, with some modification to the throttle linkage and such. You will notice a loss in power! The 5.0 truck intake flows much better, keep it!

The Explorer and GT40 intakes have smaller cross-sectional dimensions than the 5.0L EFI truck intake. Ford in their infinite wisdom blessed this vintage 5.0L truck engine with a very generous intake. At the same time they strangled the 5.8L engine beyond belief. Perhaps they were trying to atone for their mistakes with the GT40 and Explorer intakes....

All stock the Explorer intake flows a little less than the 5.0 Truck intake but both of them flow a ton more air than any stock 5.0 motor can move so you won't likely see any difference from this swap.
