Hi guys, i have a 05 f-250 6.0 crew cab 4x4 10inch of lift and 36x15.50r20 size tires and wheels on it, Dont do much interstate driving but i hopped on it yesterday and noticed at about 70-75 mph i was boosting 15 pounds to 20 pounds of boost, is this normal??
IMHO that's kind of excessive for a steady cruise, but it may be due to your lift/tire combination. Are you running a tuner or are you stock otherwise?
10 inches of lift an only runnin 36x15.5 tires. That's a lot of lift for that small tire. I got 6" fabtech lift runnin 37" tires.
If u don't use your truck for pullin anything an don't plan on puttin any bigger tire on it. You may want to look into puttin a set of 4.30 gears in it. If plan on bigger tire look at 4.56.
I use my truck to pull my camper an I'm soon puttin 4.56 gears in my truck.
But as far as ur boost bein 15 or over at 70 or so. That is a lil high in my opinion. Not pullin anything my boost at 70 or so on flat road is like 10 or 12. By the stock gauge.
You may want to dump the edge an get SCT.
More than a few have ran edge an dumped their trans.
More than a few, including me, run SCT with no problems an love them. Plus, you can get a custom tune wrote for ur truck. Can't with edge. That I know of.
