Ed, i would beta test your extension plugs if you need a Guinea pig Went to ely mn this week & had another no start tuesday. Checked the voltages & pressures by the torque app all good. Checked the ficm for loose wires & returned the engine to stock. The truck started, so not sure if chaffing/loose wire or tune was the problem. Anybody with chaffing wires chime in, where do i look for chaffing? The wires all look like the are in wire loom & lots of tape, Thanks Curt
After a awesome 5 day fishing trip in lake of the woods on the Canadian side. We came back to warroad saturday night. Went to leave for the cities sunday morning, go to start my truck, nope no start again Hooked up my torque app and had a P2614 camshaft position signal output circuit open We got hold of a local mechanic that suggested a hair dryer on the sensor! I did that for about 5 minutes & presto she fired up So not sure if this is in the new no start folder(had with me going down the list), but a hair dryer or barbecue lighter just might get you running again. So we drove all the way home, without shutting her off, to my shop. I have a new sensor from O Riley's for $45.00. Should i use it or buy a ford oem? Thanks, Curt
