motor swap
I have a whole 77 f100 with a rotted out body but with a good drive train. How hard would it be to put that motor in my 84 ranger with C-5 tranny? its a woods truck with 6 inch lift and 35 inch super swampers want to get more power than the 2.8 can deliver. Also the 2.8 in it right now has 245,00 miles, bad head gaskets, valve seals, rings, So the swap may be cheaper than rebuilding the 2.8

302 goes in without much trouble. You will need a different trans, as the 302 bell to trans is different than the 2.8.
