I don't know all the details, about the job, or why it is paying in cash. I will not be dispensing meds, per se, as they already have their prescriptions. But they will be locked up, and only given out at 7am, for that particular day. At least that is what the house rules state in the house I am in now. It did strike me funny that a VA position would pay cash. However, the guy who offered the job did not say i needed any special qualifications other than to be drug free myself. I will find out more on Monday at the next appointment. For now, I will be at this transitional home. I will pray that I can get the house manager job on Monday. That would be cool. Then maybe I can start getting back on my feet financially. I don't know if they have internet available in the homes, so for now i am at the local Mc Donalds. If I can, I will get internet in my name when I become house manager. Since he asked me if i was a homebody, I am assuming i am to spend most my time at the home, so I will need something other than a TV to keep me entertained.
I guess you can call it giving them access to their own meds. ) Again, I don't know all the particulars, but it has got me to thinking. I hope I don't need any nurse skills or anything, because I have none of those. All I know is that any prescriptions that anyone has, will be locked up, and only allowed to be used at 7am. So if I had a prescription for twice a day, I would need to take both of them out of the bottle at 7am and use one then, and the second one when it is time (which makes no sense, because that means the person is keeping them on his person the entire day.) Sounds fishy to me, but it is the VA, so I don't know how it can be illegal/ Anyway I have to get back, my battery is low, and I need to charge it up. Hopefully this will be the last fast food meal I have for awhile (getting tired of their McChicken sandwiches) Oh, I may not be able to get of the house this weekend, as they say they don't let you out the first weekend you are there (they don't know about me being considered for a house manager position, they think I will be there for quite awhile) However, if they do, I can stop by the Mc Donalds for their free wifi, and go to church on Sunday as well as visit my friend after church. She will be back from Idaho by then.
