windshield interchangability between excursion and SD

Will a superduty pickup windshield fit in an excursion? The guy that does my glass work says his book lists them as different? Anyone know what or why?

Maybe the graphics the SD version has up top.

Beyond that, they are the same windshield.

Per the glass guy that just replaced my Ex glass they are the same. The entire windshield frame is the same as they repaired mine with SD takeout parts. The body shop said it was a perfect fit.

The only difference that would matter other than the Super Duty logo is the mirror bracket is just a bit lower in the Excursion to clear the overhead console, (which the others clear it also.) I put a Super Duty windshield in my Excursion and had to cut the cover for wires to the mirror.

Good. I need to repair the upper windshield channel due to rust holes and the current windshield is going to probably come out in pieces.

got a sharp cold knife and a long pipe knife you can get it out in one piece and save yourself the mess. Squirt some water or glass cleaner on the old sealant and it makes your blade slide much easier.

Last summer I had my glass guy Reseal the windshield because it was leaking And that is when he saw that it was rusted. So I cleaned it up best I could and he put the sealant to it.

Yep they fit.
I have the one that has SUPER DUTY across the top.
The only thing is the mirror button is higher, so you need to remove and not use the plastic wire cover that runs down to the mirror.
The other thing is even with the mirror adjusted full down you still get the roof console showing slightly in the mirror.
