MY TRUCK KEEPS DYING ON ME!!!
every time i go over a bump while pressing the brake my truck either sputters or turn off completely, it also turns off if i slam the breaks on with my wheels turned sharp to the left.
I just installed an ATS compressor housing, wicked wheel, and a banks wastegate about 175 miles ago but didnt have any trouble until a few days ago.
I went to ford and picked up a new CPS(cam position sensor) and it is still doing the same thing. IM SKUNKED, NEED HELP!!!
Good place to start is the wiring harness that goes to the 42 pin connector. Sometimes it chafes on the driver side valve cover. Motions like you describe could cause that harness to rub against the valve cover there and a bare wire to short. Separate the 42 pin connector and take a peek at the underside of the harness. This pic is from Fat Diesel's truck.
finally found that it was the wiring harness on top of the valve cover.
when i installed the compressor housing i must have bent the hanger it was on which rested the wires on the valve cover. I just went of a coal roll cruise
-thanks for the help
