transmission help
i have a 03 x 6.0 the problum i had is temp gage drop to 0 and then went as hot as it could then my tow/haul started blinking.so i was close to home and just parked it.could it be a bad stat?do i have a 4r100 or5r110w? thanks fo any help.

You have a TorqShift transmission, also known as the 5R110. Your trans has a bad Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor. It is inside the pan and not that hard to change. A new one is under $20 at any Ford dealer.
