Well, considering the EGR cooler can leak...especially the late '04 and up 6.0L engines...I would delete the cooler; or make it a "tank" by plugging both ends of the cooler. This is assuming you don't have to pass an emissions test, take the cooler out. But if you have to pass a test...either sniffer in the tailpipe or visual; you'll need to keep the cooler in there. Which means you want the round cooler in there. The only issue I see is you say you need the truck in two weeks because your moving. Not sure if you can get all of this done before you need to move. The Sinster delete kit RiffRaff offers/carries claims you don't have to remove the intake...which could save you some time. But I'd pull the intake to soak it in Purple Power to get the soot out of it since once you delete the EGR cooler...there won't be any exhaust going through the intake afterwards.
Get it up to coolant temp of at least 190*, then find a few flat miles on I35 and hold 60mph for at least a mile. Ect should be 188-196, EOT shouldn't be more than 15* higher. Flat and level is the key, so the temps level out instead of chasing each other.
If you come back with a 6* split, your oil cooler is cherry
