And if anybody thinks the 4x4 section is tough, I would recommend staying away from Pirate...

Im not part of some clique yes we talk an a few of us have meet in person an to be honest idc what they think of me and idc if i look cool on the internet im gonna state my opinion on something and its not gonna be altered wether someone likes or dont like it...
Im not sure what the blowing smoke up someone's *** comment is supposed to mean unless your stating i change my opinion depending on what someone else says or something

It is what it is... Just own it who cares, but the only thing I ask is the same respect.... Like; Let me describe it how I see it. As long as its not a flat out lie, or degrading to you personaly and with in FTE Guidelines.
I said it about 4 times now, create a sticky, ignor the questions, paste a link to a thread where (whatever topic) was discussed at length, Or just stay the way you are, as long as it fits in the FTE Gudelines then its all good. Any of these things are fine, but if I see it and then discuss it with another member do try to tell me its something it not.
I went through this personaly in the 4x4 section, I was ridiculed, (for decient advise BTW) I didnt take it personaly nor do I have thin skin, I gave it right back as good as I got it. After the public poo flinging, I sent Pm's to those I was flingin with to try and "shake hands" if you will. This is all just to show you that im not talking from what I read, and then I extended the friendly hand.
Ok now im done with his Larry, and I hope we can be friends, like I said dont change a thing if you wish, Just also dont get butt hurt if I call you on it.

what Larry is referring to Caleb, is 5 posts in a row with tire size for 79 F250 highboy in the title. and someone comes in and asks what size tire do i need to buy for my 79 F250 highboy.
or someone coming in asking what size blocks do i need to add to the rear after putting a 4 inch lift in the front?
or i put 4 inch blocks in the rear, what size blocks do i need to level the front, after reading the 15 posts in the thread saying how dangerous lift blocks are.
or, i talked to a reputable shop and they said lift blocks and body lifts made out of hockey pucks are safe.
after a while it gets tiring telling someone to open your frickin eyes before asking a stupid question.
unfortunately, most of the posts that end up with people getting all butthurt would never have been posted at all if the poster would just open their eyes and read someone elses posts.

I got tired of the SOS in superduty section, so I rarely go there, I go to the general automotive, or non automotive section and chat or BS with my friends.
Im positive that if I hang in the SD section, start build threads, or repair threads or whatever, I would expect that I may read, or even get asked tech questions and feel obligated to answer some of them; but thats just me.
My personal feeling is; these guys like to keep this area all to themselves, so they ridicule out the riffraff that is not like minded. But remember that is just my feeling on my observation. Not saying its what it is!

mine is that if someone post the same question 25 times and FTE does not have an issue with it, we shouldn't - it's their sandpile we are playing in...
just ignore it if you don't want to help...on most forums that is the unwritten rule and usually someone (else !) will demonstrate some 'tact' and train the newbs
for some reason my wife always reminds me "it's not what you say, but how you say it" (guess she's talking about our neighbors ?!? )
After all, we were all newbs at one time and some still are even after 10 years here !

Ummm...I think you guys are the definition of a clique. The dedicated BS threads prove that, not to mention many threads turn into BS threads. Not trying to start an argument but I would have given you more credit admitting you are part of the 4x4 clique.

Are you sure! Well I was there! and I can asure you that I was the only help to the Op who was not a regular in that forum either. I was a lurker in that section for a lil while, looking for some other info and I saw his question and decided i could help. This backfired and we both got ridiculed...
Oh Ya Paul? Calib seems to think so too. Maybe time for some introspective look. Or not, its a free country with in reason. If you guys want to be dicks thats fine, just dont be under any illusions that you guys love to help people out. Dont confuse this with helping nobody out, but there is a difference with helping every one out
Now dont anyone get me wrong...I love messin around and joking....but It seems to me often that innocent questions or comments get ridiculed for no apparent reason or everything is turned into a sometimes harsh off topic thread. An Im not sayin its everyone...and no i definetly will not name names there.
I like the joking and sillyness too, as a matter of fact I once was the first to respond to a newb's question in the F-250 section. his question was "where do you guys put your chip in these f-250's"? or something real similar. I responded with I like to dip my chips in Salsa 
and left it at that. Someone came by real quick to help this guy out. So it goes to show that Fun is fine when appropriate and not taken to far...
