Just go t call from the garage truck needs all new ball joints he quoted me $700 for the job seemed like a lot of dough. The mechanic claimed 6 hours of labor. i've been dealing with this guy for a while ,not that I don't trust him ,but just wanted to bounce the price off the forum
There are some opinions on what new ball joints to go back with.
If you go with MOOG you get a lifetime warranty and you won't have to pay again. I have 3 new ball joints done all under the MOOG warranty and no cash left my pocket.

Did you install the replacement ball joints yourself, or did the garage put the replacement joints in for free?
RF lower ball joint parts FREE labor FREE
RF upper ball joint parts FREE labor 0.00
LF Outer Tie Rod End parts $140.88 labor $94.77
L Tie Rod Adj Sleeve parts $28.06 labor 0.00
LI Moog Tie Rod End Left parts $180.84 labor $28.43
Total $472.98
Maybe some of the labor would have been part of the other work anyway??
I have another similar invoice for this truck and my Dodge 2500.
I know I could have gotten the parts cheaper online, but I don't know enough yet to do any front end work myself so I pay the bill. I do get lifetime alignment, and a 10% discount (became $425.68) because of where my girlfriend works so it isn't too bad.
That seems pretty reasonable compared to what I've heard other people paying.
X2 here as well thats great especialy if that comes with Gasket and Ball Joints and alignment
If it is like my truck it was all rusted together and a ROYAL PIA to get it apart
I did my own and Time I was done I was 600.00 into it with parts and all the specialty pullers and presses Cuz you Dont just Jump into steering and suspension stuff without a Bunch of specialty Tools Seal Drivers ect........
IIRC I was around 400.00 in Parts thats ALL Ball Joints upper & Lower and ALL New Seals and Gaskets
The average job for BJ here goes around 1200.00 for everything So me doing it for 600.00 wasnt Bad Price wise BUT I EARNED EVERY RED CENT I SAVED
And If you like your SOF if 4x4 better replace all those seals & Gaskets
not sure if they are installing MOOG ,but I kinda felt that it is a 1 ton truck with 100k on it fron NE Pennsylvania the joints would more than likely take a few hours to get out worth the money to me thanks for the feedback
