Does that include align & all? Probably not bad $$ but I got lucky bought the 4 MOOG bj $125 & Ford Mech installed for $150 Cash. I made sure to get the ones with grease fittings.
I think the parts are around $200 per side (including ESOF seals) and it takes a few hours per side to do them. Personally I won't let anyone else work on my rig unless I absolutely have to so I'd buy the parts and do it myself.

Unless you suspect they are going to 'find' additional work while they are in there, that's not a bad price. Personally, I'll bet you'll spend more than 4 hours doing this job, but if you do it yourself, you can take your time, do it right, and gain some man points at the office. The downside is the mess and taking it back for an alighnment, which will wreck $60.
I would do it myself, but as for your question - I've seen higher quoted prices for this work.
I did mine myself and I'm guessing it took 6-8 hours total. I don't really know because I "rebuilt" the entire front end: all tie rods, ball joints, brakes, bushings, probably other stuff. My truck was up on stands for weeks. Here's what I paid roughly, for just the ball joints:
$130 - greaseable ball joints
$60 - have shop press in 4 new ball joints (I think, don't have receipts on me)
$70 - front end alignment
$260 - total
That leaves $300 in your bid for labor. At 5 hours labor, that $60/hour. Is that reasonable in your area?
If you do it yourself, you might consider changing the wheel bearings and races and doing a brake job while everything's apart.
Fair price. FWIW, I rebuilt my 7.3 - but let my (very good!!) local tire store do ball joints - all (3) times I've had to replace them. Bottom line is they have better tools than me for this work and since the tech who works on my junk is even more **** than me, I have no problem letting them wrestle with the monster! The best part is, 2nd time around on F350 (125k miles later...) the MOOG parts were FREE. These parts have lifetime warranty from O'Riellys and my shop kept the receipts and got my parts for free!
Check partsguyed.com for the parts, but they weren't much less than local O'Riellys with my shop discount and O'Riellys has lifetime warranty....
