I meant for the 2.8L Powerstroke.

I've operated several pieces of equipment that were powered by the 4BT. As engines go, the 4BT is "dime a dozen".

Ford stopped selling the Ranger in the US because it was getting schooled by the Toyotas of the world. What do you suppose would have happened if they would have offered a crew cab, diesel powered version here in the states? I know that the EPA would have been tough to get past, but even if it had been gas powered... The fact is that it seems to me like Ford decided not to play in that game and then was surprised when they lost. Was the Ranger even offered in the states as a 4 door? I know you could get a Dakota or a Chevy 4 door.

We bought it as a core.knew NOTHING of its history.It was easier to just liquidate it fast and not fall in love with it....
