Issues after gauge install!!
Could something have been unplugged or could the manifold air intake heater delete be causing the light. Ran fine until the gauge install. I remember reading something about the ground for the manifold air intake heater being a issue if not care full. I could not get the dam thing off so tapped the end and left it. The ground post kept spinning not allowing the ground to come loose.
This thing is becoming a pit I cant feed fast enough. PLEASE HELP!
If I can figure this out before Monday that would be great. If not I am tired of dicking with it and am just going to take it in. I need a good diesel mechanic to keep in business her in Columbia, MO. Don't have a scanner that will read the codes so SOL there. Unless there is some way to get them off with a flashing light sequence. I would love to find out how to do that. I dont want to drive it anymore than I have to as if one more thing goes wrong with this dam thing........
2002 7.3 189,000 S&B intake new gauges and about $4500 in other parts to keep this POS on the road!!!! It will have to get 80MPG to make up for the issues I am having for the next 20 yrs to break even. I love this thing but dam...can I get a break here?
Sorry, its time of the month for me.
I just did the delete with the gauge tap from Riffraff. I had the same problem. I just kept pulling out the rachet out of the spiral of ground wire until I all came out. Once it was out, I put the nut and stud in a vice and got the ground off properly and put the stud back in. I have had no problems since the install.

I just got it back last week to have the up pipes replaced due to the gaskets being blown. Looks like I will need to get the crash cart and revive the wallet after this is all said and done.
