Hi guys I took my EBP tube off to clean it and it turned into a much bigger project then expected. First it was a nightmare trying to brake it loose then once I got it off I could not get it clean. So the question is can I drive the truck with just the sensor hooked up not the tube? I need to order a new tube and sensor so its going to be a few days.
yes you can just drive. you will get less mpg then you should but if the tube is plug you will never know it.
you will have less boost but it is only a couple of days.

Thats what i thought. That damm tube has never been taken off and the soot got packed in there like concrete. I went through 3 cans of brake cleaner and several different types of wire to try and clean it.
It supposed to affect the fueling tables somewhat. I believe running with it disconnected will also stop the EBPV from activating, since it can't measure the EBP and know when to open back up when you're driving.

That would seem logical, but I have seen NO documentation from Ford saying they are connected.
